Second Avatar trailer is here!

avatarposterThe second Avatar trailer is out now. Refreshingly, if this trailer is anything to go by, Avatar appears to have a strong character driven plot, as well as the best special effects we've seen. Few directors of big budget effects films seem to bother with decent stories lately. Just think Independence Day or Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Watch the trailer below and tell us what you think. Director James Cameron may have produced just the right mix. We'll soon see. Avatar is out December 18.

Avatar takes place 100 years in the future, after Earth has been stripped of its natural resources and massive corporations lead the charge to the stars to try and replenish stocks. A mining operation on the lush, forest world of Pandora is under threat from hostile wildlife and the feline, blue-skinned sentient Na'vis who live there. A group of scientists who have bio-engineered hybrid human/Na'vi bodies (Avatars) using their own DNA, study this fertile world and attempt to win the trust of its inhabitants.

Update!
