Blade Runner: The Final Cut trailer released Featured Hot

Unicorn dream sequence A trailer for Blade Runner: The Final Cut has been released in the US. You can watch the trailer on YouTube here. The New York Times has also published an early review in which they claim Harrison Ford's character, Rick Deckard, is definitely meant to be an android (replicant) in this final version. Whether Deckard is or is not human has been hotly debated since the film's original release.

Warner Bros have also launched a Blade Runner: The Final Cut promotional website.

The Blade Runner Ultimate Collector's Edition, which includes The Final Cut, the original Director's Cut, and all previous versions, is due out 18 December.

Grand Poohbah

Bladerunner continues to stand the
test of time.
Take that, Mr. Steven Cheeseberg.

Debate?

Debate? There is no debate. Ridley Scott said that Deckard is a replicant a long time ago.

Long Live Deckard

It doesn't matter whether Deckard is a replicant or not. What matters is that this piece of cinematic perfection will be reborn to a new and younger audience. This is one of my favorite movies and I'm looking forward to yet another vision.

Who cares what Ridley Scott says

What PK Dick said counts more. Go read the book.

I saw it

In a preview release in NYC. It is definitely not just yet another revision. I've seen all versions, and visually this one is by far the best.

Re: Who cares what Ridley Scot says

Jim, no one's denying Dick's novel is a great read and quite different from the movie, but then the movie is called Blade Runner after all, not Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Sure, the movie is an average reflection of the novel, but in its own right it is a great movie.
