I live in serial hangover. I was overcome with desperation when Robert Jordan sadly passed away without completing his Wheel of Time series. After eleven books... In my defense, I should say that Stonewiser began as one book, but the execution of it, and most importantly, the publisher's requirements, made it necessary to divide the project into three parts. - Dora Machado

Do you think an author would have better luck or more success with writing a good single novel than yet another never ending series of fantasy books in an already crowded market? I actually look for single Sci Fi and fantasy novels and do my best to ignore sequels or series. Plus waiting for the sequels to arrive has been disappointing for me as I grow out of a genre before I get to the end of the series/story. An example was the Clan of the Cave Bear series....never did find out what happened to Daryl Hannah... - Scando 5000
